Entry5:A special moment you enjoyed with your family
Saturday, January 29, 2011
I like to jog in the jungle there as it is cooling. Also I enjoyed playing sports. Exercising is essential to keep fit and healthy. So my brothers and I would play badminton and soccer with us playing the latter more often. We would do shooting with the trees being the goalpost. It was fun and enjoyable and we loved it, who wouldn't love soccer?

Sometimes we would play with other people there too. It was great as we ran out winners most of the time! If we played badminton we would use our shoes as the line. However if it get too windy sometimes we would halt immediately and play soccer as the wind does not help with th path of the shuttlecocks. After a good workout, we would head somewhere nearby for dinner before returning home.

On the overall I feel that this type of activities is good as it encourages family bonding and allows us to keep healthy at the same time. As John Bowring once said "A happy family is but an earlier heaven." I agree with him totally as no other people can bring you more happiness than your family. Treasure your family, for fate has brought you all together.

"Oh man! I had totally forgotten about my maths project!" I bemoaned. It was the deadline day, and I would literally be murdered by my maths teacher, otherwise known as Extremely Excruciating Evil Ernie(just a joke by our class). Her period was just right after recess and my group had only just completed 3/4 of our project. This project was counted for fifty percent of our CA1 marks. During the period before recess, English, my group members and I started racking for solutions. Finally after a round of discussion, we decided to go to the library to salvage the project. At least some hope is better than no hope.

When recess bell rang, all of us ran to the library and quickly started mission: Salvation of maths project. Oliver, who was the quickest typer assume the role of the typer of course. I was in charge of compiling all of the information and the rest searched for additional information. We worked at light speed and completed the project in a nick of time, though it was a rough job.

Next we printed out the project and ran back to class. When the Mdm Ernie came in, we handed the project in to her. We were lucky we handed it up, as those groups who did not do so was eaten by her alive. Her bark is worse than her bite.

Through this experience, I learn that when we are faced with a problem, we should not escaped it but we should faced it. We should take the bull by its horn. As Henry Ford once said"Most people spend more time and energy going around problems than in trying to solve them."

Entry3:Something that happened in school
Friday, January 28, 2011
"Lets go!!!" I shouted to my friends as we headed for Physical Education(PE) at the field. We ran our two rounds of compulsory warm up. We were all excited as it was the soccer module and most of our class loves soccer. Our PE teacher, Ms Sheika, arrived shortly after our warm up. She told us to get into pairs and do some passing with a ball. I partnered Shaun and we did some passing, it was quite fun.

After that we were split up into groups of five and played small sided matches. My team members are Marcus Lee, Isaac Lee, Reefver and Jun Lei. We were named the hedgehogs. During our first match we faced Jeremy's team. We did not mange to score but neither did they. I was quite gutted as my team mate Marcus keep saying I did not pass the ball and keep on shooting. But how could I pass the ball to my team mates if they are being tightly marked. Also how are we going to score if I do not shoot. In our second match we faced Kai Jie's team. By then Marcus and I were not on good terms as we kept on arguing over small matters. In a moment of frustration, I kicked the ball with lots of power towards him. The ball bounced off his shin and the opponent gained possession. I missed a penalty and was quite irritated with myself.

At the final match, Marcus and I realised that quarrelling would not give us good results, therefore we gave in to each other and played like a team. Although we also drew that last match I was quite satisfied with the performance as we worked together as a team and played reasonably well.

Through this incident at the school, I learnt the true meaning of" United we stand, Divided we fall." I feel that sometimes we should give in and things may work out. So next time before u start squabbling think first!

A moment I spent alone doing something I enjoyed happens after midnight............

"Rrrrrringggggggg!" I woke up to the sound of my alarm I. I gently rubbed my eyes and made my way to the study room to switching on the modem first before making my way to the living room. The hour hand on the clock was pointing to three and the minute hand was pointing to tewnty-five. Why was I up at this hour you may be asking yourself, well, read on and  you would find out! I quickly boot up the Mio set-up box and switch on the television. I lowered the volume so as to no disturb any of my family member. The Premier League match between Arsenal and Chelsea FC was starting in five minutes and I was rooting for the latter. Chelsea FC is my first love, I sleep, eat and talk about Chelsea.

"Beep!" the referee blew his whistle to signal the start of the game. I settled on the couch and watched the game with lots of focus, my eyes never left the screen. Chelsea created a few opportunities but never really tested the Arsenal goalkeeper . Arsenal too had a few opportunities but did not really made full use of them. Finally, the deadlock was broken by Didier Drogba, Chelsea on-form hitman. He cheekily flicked the ball with the back of his foot into the net to send the Chelsea fans into ecstasy. So Chelsea entered halftime with a slender one goal lead.

I entered the kitchen and got myself a cup of tea to quench my parched throat. The match resumed after fifteen minutes.Chelsea gathered momentum and bagged two more goals. The game ended two nil in favour of Chelsea. I returned to sleep after that

While I enjoy watching soccer alone as it keeps me entertained and stimulates my mind. Well, this is a moment I enjoyed spending alone, what is yours?

Entry 1: Something Unusual That Happened That Day
Wednesday, January 26, 2011
I was returning home from my tuition at Serangoon Gardens just like any other week. Little did I know that a surprise awaited me that day.........

As the sun sets across the horizon to signal the end of yet another day,I walked to the bus stop with music stimulating my eardrums waiting for bus 315. Since it was the peak hour, the bus stop was packed like a can of sardine with adults returning home from work and students like myself returning from tuition. My stomach was already calling out for some food as my last meal was about five to six hours ago. Finally the long awaited bus 315 arrived to my delight and many other commuters.  As Serangoon Gardens was a popular nightspot with lots of resplendent pubs and nightspots many teenagers alighted from the bus, leaving quite a few empty seats behind; a rare sight during the peak hour. I gladly accepted the "gift" presented to me by God and settled into a seat, secretly hoping no one would plop their body weight down right beside me. However, lady luck was not on my side and a middle-aged man sat beside me. Shortly after the bus left the stop he started to pick his nose, oblivious to those around him. I grimaced at this abominable and disgusting sight. It irked me to the core. Trying as hard to avoid any eye contact with this guy, I took out a novel and started reading it to while away my time. However before I could flip a page of my novel, a commotion at the rear of the bus caught my attention.

People were pointing at the floor in bewilderment. I took a look and saw something scurrying around. Was it a rat? Was it a guinea pig? No, it was a hamster! Its fur was white with a tinge of brown in it. People shuffled uncomfortably in their seats and I was no exception. The hamster scurried towards the front of the bus sniffing around. A few teenage girls was on the bus then and one of them made their way to the front of the bus and scooped the hamster up into her hand. Phew! My facial expressions mirrored those relieved passengers. I used to keep a hamster as pet when I was about seven to eight years old before it expired. Through these years, I gradually started to dislike hamster. I do not know why but I just disliked hamsters because they are small and furry. It just sends a chill done my spine whenever I see one.

I also felt sickened by the fact that not only did the owner of the hamster abandoned it irresponsibly, but he or she did not have the proper decency to give it away to a friend or a pet store but just leave it on a public bus. I hoped that there was no foreigners or tourists on the bus at that point of time as I do not want to give them an impression that Singaporeans are people that shirk their responsibilities. I feel that one should weigh up the pros and cons of buying a pet and not just buy it on an impulse. Having a pet requires lots of time, patience and most importantly love. Without love, you would not be able to look after it in the long run and would soon neglect it. A pet can tell who loves it and who do not love it. To you it may be just a pet, but for it you are everything.

Back to the story, the teenage girl brought the hamsters down when she alighted presumably to keep it as a pet. A new home awaits the hamster, hopefully a more caring and loving one. As Helen Keller once said" When one door of happiness closes, another opens"

The events that happened on the bus were unusual as you do not see a hamster scurrying on the bus any other day. I felt happy for the hamster as I know that it is in safe hands.......................
